Specialized in online information systems

These days I am a team leader of a development team. I specialized in information systems and Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET (C#) and MSSQL. I work for Rapaport, which runs several diamond related trading networks, such as www.diamonds.net, www.diamonds.com and some other diamond information related services. I am there to make sure that the systems get molded into improved, working, maintainable and unified systems. Quite a challenge, which I enjoy.

You can also read more about my doings in my blogs:

  • my personal blog
  • my blog as a web developer

  • If you want to read in Hebrew what I specialize in click here.

Between 2000 - 2005 I had the responsibility of 4 major (Hebrew) websites, an intranet, and a couple of crucial back office applications. Curious? Try Mooma, Keshet, Bip, hakasefet or the vault. These applications use the latest technologies, from ASP.NET, ASP, Microsoft DNA, COM, etc. My personal aim is to give the best service to as many people as possible. Sometimes this creates a conflict with marketing, but my preferences go for the user, not the money. (don't tell them I said that).

I started working as a professional web developer in 1999, for a major Israeli ISP. Despite this my work, my personal website has not been updated very frequent lately. At least not this page. I recently added a nice cartoon page on my site. This in addition to the well visited riddle page. I am currently also experimenting with different nice addition to my site such as a calculator and a randomizer. All useful tools available through the web to anyone. If you have any suggestions you can always mail me, and maybe I can add your idea to my site.

As you might have noticed, my hobby-list contains computers, especially homepages I made this site, and I like nice pictures and other crawling GIF images. This could make this site very slow, you know, taking three hours to load. Anyway I have managed to control this problem and think that the way it is at the moment it is quite fast, and very enjoyable! I have some other hobbies as well, they are traveling, walking, reading, watching television and many other things.

Well, just in the meantime, I will remind you of what I studied (finished in 1999):

    Land of Israel Studies
    and
    Political Science

Land of Israel studies is a study which deals with the geographical area today called Israel. It is about the developments in and around this area through the history. It deals with geographical-history and with archeology.

Just to give you a tiny bit of information: During our history "Israel" has been invaded by the Egyptians, Greek, Romans, Byzantines, Muslims, Crusades, Mammeluks, Ottomans (Turks) and more. Today's famous Palestinian question has existed for almost a century. These and more aspects in history, make this study into a most fascinating one. We learn to understand the present and future by studying the past.

Political Science deals with politics, streams in politics, philosophy, different ideologies, relations between the different nations, theories about ... almost everything dealing with Man, State and the international community and MUCH MUCH more!

Learning as well about Israeli politics, today and the last century.
